Pepper's ideal home

Pepper is a little four-year-old Border Collie looking for a loving home with adult adopters. Pepper is social with other dogs and would love doggy pals when out and about. She likes her toys for herself and therefore would be best as the only dog in the home. She will need a home without cats or small furries and care will be needed around livestock. Pepper is a high energy dog who needs lots of physical exercise and mental stimulation. She enjoys being out and about and keeping busy and would suit a quiet, rural environment. She would do well with a routine and predictability. Pepper may take a bit of time to settle in a home environment, and we would advise avoiding ball play indoors to help with this.

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
