About This Dog for Adoption

Luna's ideal home

Luna is an amazing 11 month old Border Collie who has unfortunately spent a lot of her life so far with us. Luna has been in a foster home for a while where she has come out of her shell and is showing herself to be a super playful and energetic girl who loves to be out in the garden with her foster carers whenever she gets the chance. She is really clever and has already learnt basic tricks and is always learning new things. She is fully housetrained and can be left for a few hours once she has had time to settle in. She likes to sleep downstairs, even though she is given the choice she chooses to stay downstairs on her nice comfy bed, and is fine all night.
Luna is worried walking around traffic and does need to be walked away from roads, this can either be from the home if you have footpaths on your doorstep, or can be driven to walks. She is fine travelling in a car, she just doesn’t like to see vehicles passing her.
She will need an enclosed garden to help her settle in and continue her training, as well as being able to have all the playtime she loves. Once Luna has had the time to settle into the home she will be fine being built up to being left, as long as you are able to be around for her initially whilst she gains the confidence being in a new home.

Could you be Luna's perfect match?

Luna loves to learn, and would really suit an active family looking for a fun new addition and who would love to work with her to build her skills, as well as finding activities to give her an outlet for her energy. She is social meeting dogs out on a walk, but will need to be the only pet in the home, and will be fine living with children primary age an upwards as long as they are used to being around dogs and know dogs like to have time to relax as well as play time.
Luna has been being monitored by our vet for her health, which we will discuss with adopters when you meet her.
If you are looking for a clever, fun, young addition to join your family and think Luna could be that girl, then please get in touch today!
