Description

Moe's ideal home

Moe is a truly fabulous and clever boy, who would be better suited to an adult only and quiet home environment where he will be able to work and continue his training. He will need a secure garden where he can wander, and a safe space within his home that he can retreat to if he needs a bit of security and quiet time. He has previously lived with another dog and they got on really well, so could do so again following a successful match prior to adoption. Traffic is Moe’s biggest worry and he isn’t a fan of the car so would love to live away from roads with access to no-traffic walks from the doorstep. He can get frustrated by seeing people and dogs which exhibits as barking and lunging. He is therefore looking for a family that will be understanding and help him in these situations. Moe is super clever and would suit a family interested in and committed to training through positive reinforcement.

Could you be Moe's perfect match?

Looking for a very rewarding training project? Moe is a fabulous Collie who though only around 1 year old will need dedicated adopters to help him become the best version of himself. He originally came into our care after being found as a stray but sadly recently had to be returned into our care as he can be a bit of a handful! He is a lovely boy once you know him and very playful but gets frustrated when he can’t say hello to every person and dog he sees, and really struggles around moving vehicles. Moe is fully housetrained but things like car travel and time left alone still need to be introduced at a pace he is comfortable with. He loves training and toy play and will just be the most amazing dog if given the time, patience and environment he needs to thrive.

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
