About This Dog

Lucy's ideal home

Lucy is a gentle-natured Collie with an endearing character that is hard not to fall in love with! She’s a friendly lady to all whom she encounters and is happy to see other dogs out and about but isn’t overly fussed about greeting them. Lucy is looking for a home where she can relish all the fuss and attention as the only pet. Being a senior pooch, Lucy would much prefer a calm and peaceful home environment, with a family who can be gentle with her. As such, we feel she would best be suited to a home where the youngest members of her family are in their later teens. She highly values her human friendships, so would love to find a family who are always around at home to keep her company, as alone-time can be challenging for her. Due to her arthritis, she is looking for a home that has a grassy garden to potter about in rather than concrete or gravel, as this can be uncomfortable for her.

Could you be Lucy's perfect match?

Typical of her Collie traits, Lucy does love a tennis ball and is still active for her age. However, games of fetch should be gentle and limited due to her arthritis. Other most-loved pastimes include walks in the countryside, receiving fuss from her people pals, and snoozing on the cool floor. She’s also very fond of her food but would benefit from losing a few extra pounds to keep her feeling her best. If you would like more information about adopting any of our dogs, or you are considering a variety of dogs and would like our team’s help to find your pawfect match, we would love you to visit us at our rehoming centre to chat with us in person. We are open between 12pm and 4pm every day, except for Wednesdays and Fridays when we are closed.
