Description

Teddy's ideal home

Teddy is a super sweet, bouncy and excitable boy looking for a home that can take him on lovely adventures and spend time playing with his toys and giving him lots of cuddles on the sofa! Teddy is an energetic boy and does enjoy his walks and doing some training so a home that is active would be ideal. Even though teddy is active he also loves to chill out in his favourite spot which is curled up on the sofa, he may take a while to initially settle in his new home but he just needs time and patient owners who will understand and let him go at his own pace. Teddy can sometimes need reassurance from his owners especially if he hears loud noises as he is sensitive and may bark and whine when he is unsure, but hopefully when he's in his forever home and settled he will gain more confidence. Teddy loves nothing more than playing with his toys, especially his blue elephant that he loves to chuck around in the air and catch, so if you can provide him with lots of soft toys he will be a very happy boy. Teddy is so excited to find his forever home where he can go on lots of adventures, be surrounded by toys, and have endless cuddles from his new family.

Could you be Teddy's perfect match?

Teddy can live with another dog as he does like spending time with dogs but he would also be fine as an only dog in the home as well. Teddy can live with kids age 10+, but need to have previous dog experience as he can be jumpy and a little boisterous when playing. He can be left for up to 4 hours but I would say to build this up gradually in his new home and give him time to settle first. Teddy keeps himself busy by throwing his toys around and snoozing on the sofa. Teddy also travels well in the car and his housetrained. Overall teddy is a young, bouncy and active boy looking for a home that can take him on lots of walks, do some training and give him endless cuddles and support.

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
