Description

Verity's ideal home

Verity is looking for a family with a calm, quiet and predictable home to help build her confidence, with adopters who will take her on fun adventures and give her lots of love. She is looking for a home with minimal visitors initially to help her settle into home life. She can live with children 14 years and over who can play calmly with her and give her space when she needs it. Verity could live with another dog who can match her calmer playstyle, she cannot live with cats or small furries. She will need housetraining and other basic skills, so she will need regular access to a secure and private garden to help her learn. Verity may be able to be left alone for up to 2 hours once settled in but this should be introduced slowly once she has had time to get used to her new home and routine and would ideally be after a walk so she can relax and have a long snooze! Verity will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Verity's perfect match?

Sweet little Verity is a 1 year old Staffy cross, she is just a baby who loves love, toys and snacks. She is looking for active walks and is more than happy to do lots of fun training with the help of a tasty treat! Verity loves a fuss and will come over for more. Verity loves toys, and will play when engaged with her favourite humans, she will chase a ball or a soft teddy. She is a wonderful girl who would love some support in becoming a confident dog in the big wide world.

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
