DescriptionClyde's ideal home
Clyde can live with children of high school age but needs to be the only pet for now. We have no history for him so cannot guarantee that he is house trained. We'd advise that he shouldn't be left for long periods whilst settling in.
Could you be Clyde's perfect match?
Clyde is a very excitable young man but he likes a quiet life. He's finding the noisy kennel environment a little overwhelming so he's now settled in a quieter part of the centre and is much happier. We don't think Clyde has been walked on a lead so he has a lot to learn at the moment, and is trying his best. He's a very friendly dog who loves to meet people, but he does do it over-enthusiastically! We're teaching him not to approach people with his feet, and rewarding him for nice and calm hellos. It seems that Clyde hasn't been around other dogs in his short life, and doesn't know how to interact with them. He wants to approach but becomes frustrated quite quickly, and is vocal and pulls. Clyde will need to be walked in areas that don't have a lot of dogs, but he shouldn't avoid dogs altogether. Our training team will be able to help his adopters put together a plan for some gentle socialising with appropriate dogs. Clyde loves toys and they are a great way to get his attention when out on a walk, if he comes too focused on another pooch.
