Description

Barley's ideal home

Barley and his siblings, Flax, Rye and Wheat are all on the search for their forever homes. As they are just puppies they will require all the usual puppy training and love. This will include the basics such as house training, leaving time being built up and puppy socialisation. A home with a safe and secure garden is extremely beneficial to help with house training and helping these little guys learn about their new world. They can live with kids aged 8yrs+ and another dog as long as they are happy to welcome a bouncy, playful puppy into their home. As the pups grow their physical and mental exercise needs will increase so an active family who are passionate about doing training and going on daily walks with their dog will be ideal. This is a super smart breed so they will enjoy keeping active out on adventures and working their minds with enrichment games and puzzle toys. They will need someone to be home throughout the day at the start to keep them company and settle into their new environment.

Could you be Barley's perfect match?

Barley, Flax, Rye and Wheat are 7 weeks old and almost ready to go home with their new families. They stunning border collies who are full of love, life and energy. We would like their new adopters to have some collie experience but this is not essential. As they are just babies they will be automatically enrolled onto our fabulous 4 week Dog School Puppy Class to help them start life out on the right paw. These are typical fun loving puppies who enjoy playing with toys and being involved in whatever you are up to, so adopters will need to be ready for entertaining them throughout the day. To express your interest in adopting these beautiful pups, please complete an adoption application and include 'Barley' as your favourite. Thank you!

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
