Description

Pooch's ideal home

Pooch is looking for a home with fun loving adopters who can take him on exploring adventures and keep his clever mind busy. He can live with children aged 14 years and over who can read when he is uncomfortable and give him some space. Pooch would happily live in a home with another playful, calm dog, but this is not a necessity, he would love to have playful walking buddies, he cannot live with cats or other small furries. Pooch has a little training under his belt, he does a lovely “Sit”, he is keen to learn more and will concentrate for a squeezy treat, chicken is his favourite. He was previously housetrained and will likely need a refresher so access to a garden is needed. Pooch may be able to be left alone for up to 2 hours once settled in but this should be introduced slowly once he has had time to get used to his new home and routine and would ideally be after a walk so he can relax and have a long snooze! Pooch will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Pooch's perfect match?

Super fun, wiggly boy Pooch is a 2 and a half year old Border Collie who is very enthusiastic with everything he does. He’s a cuddly boy who loves lots of fusses and will seek you out for more. He loves a ball and will chase it around, but he really loves playing and running around with his favourite doggy pals. Pooch is a playful and affectionate boy who is looking for his forever family. Could it be you?

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
