Milo's ideal home
Milo is a bright and energetic 1-year-old Border Collie who’s full of enthusiasm for life. This clever and playful lad thrives in an active environment with plenty of opportunities to stretch his legs and engage his mind. Milo would be happiest in a rural or quiet suburban home with a secure garden where he can run and explore to his heart’s content. He can live with adults or families with children aged 12 and above who are confident and considerate around dogs, understanding how to interact respectfully and give them space when needed.
Milo has previously lived with a cat, but his natural curiosity sometimes leads to playful chasing, so a cat-free home may suit him better. While he is a friendly and social dog, Milo can be a little cautious when meeting new people, particularly taller men, so he’ll benefit from calm and positive introductions to help him feel comfortable. Milo is looking for experienced owners who can provide him with the care and support he needs to thrive in his new home. An understanding of Border Collie traits would also be beneficial, as Milo shows many typical breed tendencies, such as high energy, intelligence, and a love for mental stimulation. He is crate-trained, and having a safe space of his own helps him settle and feel secure in his environment.
Could you be Milo's perfect match?
Milo is a friendly and sociable boy who’s happiest when playing fetch, exploring the great outdoors, or learning new tricks. True to his Border Collie nature, he’s eager to please and thrives on interactive play and engagement. Milo has lived with other dogs before and enjoys their company during playtime. He’s a lively and social boy who is learning to manage his excitement when meeting new dogs and people on walks.
Milo is house-trained and comfortable in his crate, which he uses as a cosy retreat when he needs some downtime. He’s also happy traveling in the car, making him a great companion for adventures further afield. Milo has learned some basic commands and even a few more advanced ones, and his treat and reward orientation make him an eager and fast learner. He has great potential to learn even more and would love to engage in training sessions with his new family. Like many young and energetic dogs, Milo can sometimes make his own fun if left to his own devices for too long, so keeping him mentally and physically stimulated is key to helping him settle in his new home.
After a day full of activity, Milo is happy to relax at home, enjoying some quiet time with his favourite humans. With his zest for life and loving nature, Milo is ready to be a wonderful companion for experienced owners who are excited to share in his adventures and provide him with the structure and love he needs to flourish.
