Description

Maxwell's ideal home

Maxwell is a super sweet and intelligent boy who is on the lookout for an adult only home. If there are any visitors to the home, they will need to meet him away from the house and give him the space he needs. Maxwell will prefer to be the only pampered pooch in the home but will enjoy having the occasional canine friend to join him on his walks. He prefers his pooch pals to be calm so his adopters will need to be mindful of this when out on walks. He would like for his humans to be around for him while he is settling into his home but should be able to be left for a few hours once he has found his paws. Maxwell can be uncomfortable when visiting the vet so will be required to wear a muzzle for his vet visits. He has been doing amazingly with his training, which adopters will be shown by our training team. Adopters will be asked to come and visit Maxwell multiple times before he starts his transition into forever home.

Could you be Maxwell's perfect match?

Maxwell is an older chap but don’t let his age fool you. He is still very playful and active for his age. He knows lots of fun tricks and will always be eager to learn more for a tasty treat. Maxwell really shows off his affectionate side once he has built up a bond with you and will start to give you little nudges when he would like to have a fuss. He really enjoys his toy time and loves having a game of raggy with his humans and when he is ready to settle down will take himself off to play on his own. Maxwell would like to have a secure garden to potter and roll around on the grass in as he will need to be kept on lead while out on his adventures. Maxwell is such a great little guy who can't wait to find his pawfect retirement pad.

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
