Description

Dobbie's ideal home

Dobbie is a 4 year old collie cross. He is happy to walk past other dogs out and about but would prefer to be the only pet in the home. Dobbie loves to play with his toys! He would love his own garden where he can have his off lead exercise. Dobbie can live in a home with children aged 14 and above. He is a lovely affectionate boy who would like his new owners to be home most of the day while he settles in.

Could you be Dobbie's perfect match?

Dobbie is full of life! He loves being out for his walks and is happy to walk past other dogs, but can be uncomfortable with them in his space. Dobbie is a fun loving boy who is happy to say hello to everyone he meets! He can pull a bit on the lead but mostly walks nicely and enjoys a sniff. Dobbie loves to jump in the car and head out for adventures. He is fully house trained, and is looking for understanding owners who could help him build up the time he can be left alone. Dobbie is a very sweet and affectionate boy who loves attention. He would make a great addition to an active family.

AWE licence number 176240 by West Lothian Council.

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
