Description

Clara's ideal home

Clara is a sweet, cheeky girl who can’t wait to start the next chapter of her life. She can be a worried soul so would love a quiet home where she has time to find her paws. Clara is worried by traffic so she’ll need access to walks without needing to walk along any roads. Due to her slightly nervous nature Clara is looking for an adult-only home as the only pet.

Could you be Clara's perfect match?

Clara is a superb 6yr old Collie who is gaining confidence every day. She was very worried when she first arrived in our care but has come on in leaps and bounds. Clara will still need an understanding family who will help her slowly continue this progress, but she will be very rewarding to work with. She loves her food and really enjoys her training, picking up new tricks very quickly. She already knows sit, paw, down and wait and is definitely keen to learn more! Clara came into our care without any known history, and so all aspects of home life from housetraining to being left will need an introduction to her. Cars are also very scary for her, though she will jump into one with a bit of encouragement. It doesn’t take long for Clara to build a bond with people, and she just loves to play. With an understanding, training-minded family she will blossom and we're sure she'll be a real superstar!

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
