Description

Bailey's ideal home

This handsome boy is Bailey. He is a 2.5 year old Lurcher cross Border Collie. He is looking for a home as the only dog but with lots of social friends out and about on walks. Bailey has missed out on some socialisation and can be a little unsure when seeing another dog but does want to say hi! We are unsure if he could be around cats or other animals. Due to Bailey's size and not always being aware of this, we have said to live with children 11+ years old who are confident around taller dogs.

Could you be Bailey's perfect match?

Bailey has previously been left alone for a maximum of 4 hours and therefore could be again in his new home, once settles. He has also been housetrained, but may need reminding in his new home. When meeting new people he is instantly friendly and loves to have lots of fuss. He does need some work on his lead walking as he does tend to pull quite a bit and he also needs work on his recall skills. Bailey is an incredible boy and will make a wonderful addition to his new home.

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
