Description

Watson's ideal home

Watson is a sweet 6-year-old Collie who is searching for his perfect forever home. He would be best suited to an adult-only household with experienced owners, particularly those who have a background in working with nervous dogs. Watson needs to be the only pet in the home but would be open to having walking friends. His new family will need to build up his leaving hours gradually, starting with short periods and increasing over time. A private garden with a secure 6ft fence is a must for Watson to feel safe and comfortable in his new space. He can find life a bit overwhelming at times, so a calm, patient, and understanding environment will help him flourish.

Could you be Watson's perfect match?

Watson is a gentle and sweet boy who enjoys a quiet, loving touch and a good sniff around his surroundings. He’s a real foodie, and his love for treats is a great way to build trust with him. While Watson may initially be shy, he can become affectionate once he feels safe with you. With a little patience and care, Watson will blossom into a loyal companion who will reward you with his loving nature and playful spirit.

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
