Description

Foggy's ideal home

Foggy is a goofy and affectionate dog that is still learning how to be comfortable with the world around him. Foggy came to us as a stray, so we have no knowledge on what his life was like prior to us. He has been known to be fearful of strangers and may bark if they approach him on walks. But with his handlers in centre, he has formed some lovely bonds, when you get to know Foggy you will be lucky enough to see his silly quirky personality and more affectionate and cuddly side. Foggy is an active dog that loves his walks and is starting to learn basic training in centre.

Could you be Foggy's perfect match?

Foggy will need someone with patience to show him toilet training in the home, as he is not used to being in a home environment. He loves his toys and shows typical Collie traits around these, so breed knowledge is preferable. He has shown a natural inclination for sheep herding, and whilst not essential, he would likely thrive as a working dog. Foggy would love a patient and understanding home where he can have the extra attention he needs, to keep learning and building confidence. Your patience will be rewarded with a funny, goofy and loving companion!

Border Collie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Border Collie.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
