Summit's ideal home

Summit is a sweet 3 year old Collie who came into us with very little background information. We are unsure whether he has been in a home before so he is looking for patient adopters that can help him settle into his new home. He can be worried by people and meeting anyone new, so any potential adopter would need to be happy with coming to the centre several times to get to know him. Once he has built a bond with you, he enjoys a fuss and to curl up next to you in front of the tv!
Summit isn't keen on other dogs and so will need to be the only dog in the home. He will need further training around dog interactions, he is currently being muzzled trained for when he is out on walks and our dedicated training team will give guidence on how to continue this in the home. Due to Summit's worried nature, any children in the home should be older secondary school age. Summit will need an enclosed garden with at least 5 ft fencing as he enjoys a run around.

Summit is a clever boy who would enjoy learning some new skills in his new home. He is a young boy and would like a fairly active home that can keep him physically and mentally stimulated.
Please note you won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favorites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.
