DescriptionShep's ideal home
Shep is looking for a fun & loving home willing to physically and mentally stimulate him and engage him in new and fun activities, as this clever clogs loves to learn! He can live with children aged 10 year and older who understand that despite being friendly and gentle, he will need his own space at times to relax when he needs. Shep would prefer a home without cats and small furries, and although he could have some calm and gentle walking friends, Shep would also prefer to be the only dog in the home as he loves to have all the fuss and attention to himself! Shep can struggle when being left and thrives off of lots of company so he will need a home with very minimal leaving, which could potentially be built up gradually over a period of time, after he has settled in and got used to his new routine. Shep is a super brainy boy and has lots of training under his belt already – knowing sit, down, paw and he walks like a dream on the lead! He is a very smart lad that picks things up very quickly and would thrive in a home that can continue to mentally stimulate him and enjoys training new and fun things, so although not essential some breed experience may be ideal. Shep will need regular access to a private garden to aid in refining his house training, and so he can potter and play with his ball. Shep will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes between 7 - 10 days.
Could you be Shep's perfect match?
Shep is a 6 year old Border Collie who is a great example of both brains and beauty. He loves nothing more than a sniffy adventure around the woods, a fun and engaging training session and a game of fetch with his favourite thing in the world – tennis ball! As well as being a playful boy, he can also be affectionate at times and enjoys some gentle fusses once he knows you better. He has shown us that he loves using his brain, so despite loving a nice long walk and a game of fetch, he loves the mental as well as physical stimulation and is keen to have a crack at a fun puzzle game or a snuffle mat. Shep is an all-round wonderful lad with a lot of potential and would make a cracking addition to a home looking for an adventure and training buddy.
